Over the last few months we have been busy moving forward with Switching Heads as a duo and with our separate arty practices. During an intense couple of weeks in Devon we created a film that shows the process of making Switching Heads-sound mapping the Arctic as well as a 5 minute short of the final film that can be viewed as a taster via a vimeo link on THE ARCTIC PROJECT page of our website.
We have been promoting, publicising and fund raising for the next stage of the project, taking the final film to ArtCOP21 arts festival in Paris at the end of the year and we had a fantastic time when we were invited to talk about Switching Heads at Central St Martins MA Art and Science symposium back in May.
Tina is now working from her lovely new studio in East London after winning Macedonia's biennial and a solo show in a high profile gallery in Skopje, opening in 2016.
I am writing this from my own new studio at the Centre for Alternative Technology in Wales where I am their artist in residence until the end of the year.
We still skype each other most days, it would be weird not to now, and still get goosebumps every time we look back at the photos and videos from our Arctic adventure.
Now grab those headphones and take a peek at our Switching Heads taster video.
Tina and I giving our talk at the CSM MA Art and Science symposium in May. We did it in a style that has become second nature to us now via skype,
Tina there in person and me in Wales.
