#TimetoAct in Brighton with the Brighton Climate Action Network was a fantastic day for Switching Heads. In the morning we joined direct action group the Greenwashers with their mission to wash away HSBC's lies and deceit from the facade of their Brighton branch. We then carried Switching Heads - sound mapping the Arctic in our backpack cinema to the streets for the first time and had some great interest and interesting conversations with passersby.
Back at #TimetoAct headquarters we joined artists and cyclists Morgan and Garrett who are cycling to Paris from the States connecting with spots of extraordinary sustainability and grassroots greenness. They have been gathering stories and meeting some of the most environmentally inspiring people who are really making a difference. We gave a short intro into our Switching Heads mission, inviting the #TimetoAct audience to follow us around during the day to watch our film.
An afternoon of open discussion with Green Party MP Caroline Lucas, Greenpeace Arctic Campaigner John Halladay and Ellen Gibson from 350.org among many others was a perfect way to kick start out expedition to Paris COP21, we left feeling inspired, empowered and ready for action in the French capital.
